Curriculum Framework

The curriculum framework for English Language embodies the key knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that students are required to develop in the junior and senior secondary levels. Our teachers will plan a school-based curriculum and design appropriate and interactive activities for our students. We will also provide a balanced and flexible teaching schedule to cater for students’ diverse needs, interests and abilities. Nevertheless, our students will be able to build their confidence to communicate with our NET teacher and develop the lifelong skills they need for their future careers development.

Our missions
  • 1. To arouse students’ interest and increase their motivation to learn English through means such as language games, activities, competitions, online newspaper platforms and online learning schemes
  • 2. To promote students’ interest in extensive reading and news reading, encourage students’ participation in digital reading platforms and participating in cross curricular reading activities organized by the library
  • 3. To cultivate a rich English atmosphere by encouraging all students to use English as a medium of communication outside classrooms
  • 4. To encourage students learn English through participating in English drama competitions, e.g. Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival Dramatic Duologue and Radio Drama and attending drama activities/workshops
  • 5. To improve the quality of English language education through in-house workshops, collaborative lesson planning, peer lesson observations and sharing sessions
